My Trip To Texas

I just took a random trip to Texas this past week. My step mom told me Tuesday night that she was going to Texas to see Bryce's master recital and less than 24 hours I was on my way to Texas with her. I had never been to Texas before and I have wanted to go for so long. I was born in Dallas, and I am also really close with my step brother and sister in law Cassi and thought it was a perfect time to go. I am 10 weeks from having a baby and they are not sure how much longer they are going to live there so.... I went and it was a great trip. It started off a little hectic and just to make a LONG story short, we ended up having to take different flights and with my lay over in Denver with HORRIBLE weather, it was a miracle we both made it with just a few hours to spare before Bryce's recital. They did not know I was coming so it was a very fun surprise and I stayed an extra day without Loyette to play, visit and see some sites.

Cassi and I had to take a pregnant belly picture. It is fun and exciting to be pregnant together. I 7 1/2 months and she is about 5 months. 

Loyette took us out to dinner after the recital to the 'Texas Road House' We had a great time and the food was SOOOO yummy. 

I thought their street lights were interesting... different than Utah.

EVERYWHERE we went, there were Texas flags flying. Cassi said that Texans have HUGE Texas pride and it definitely showed. I even saw a Texas flag on a Wendy's. Notice how green the grass is.. Texas is beautiful!

Cassi took me to see the school she teaches at and her classroom. I really enjoyed seeing where she works and the fun classroom she has set up.

I love the close relationship I have with my sister in law Cassi... just wish I got to see her more.

It was a fun surprise and nice trip. I love traveling (flying is GREAT) but not sure if I will travel alone pregnant again. I was SO sore and exhausted after carrying my luggage around the airports, but it was all worth it see them and Texas.
