My 2 oldest Griffin and Gavin are the best of friends and inseparable. Their birthday are
also just 5 days apart and so it's usually a week of the house being decorated and parties. This year it much more low key because I was still recovering from my surgery... but we still made it fun and memorable!
Gavin had his cousins (Jaylie, Kollin, Jonathan & Sabrina) and a few
good friends from the neighborhood (Logan, Levi, Marshall & Jack) come
over for cupcakes and icees.
I let Gavin pick out these Dark Vader masks for his birthday party... they were a hit!
Gavin is excited about being 5 and going to the big school with Griffin
I like this picture because Gavin's most favorite present was a pocket
watch from grandpa Holdaway. Grandpa always wears one to church
and the boys just love it so when he got one for his birthday he thought
that was pretty cool. Grandpa even put his picture inside. Gavin had worn
it 24/7.... he even clips it to his jammies.
Griffin turned 7 and he is really growing up fast. We struggled on what to get him because
he is starting to out grow "toys." He mentioned he would like a skateboard, but I just picture baggy pants and chains and "rebel" type kids when I think of skateboarders... but
we decided to go with. He has such great balance and determination that we thought he
would be good at it. The day he got it we went to the park in Orangeville to meet with friends and I saw him heading over to the skate park, I told him "don't you even think about that yet"
Later in the evening we went to Huntington Lake for FHE/Birthday with my parents and my brother
Jason's family. Bryan's brother Troy and his family just moved back from Tennessee that day and wanted to see us so they came out and joined us.
Griffin just loves catching crawdads... mom just thinks is DISGUSTING!!!
Me and my adorable Brodie boy!!!
We barbecued hot dogs and had birthday cake... it was a fun night!!
