Trick-or -Treating

We had a fun Halloween. I have said it 100 times... but holidays are even better with kids!!
We meet my cousin Lacy & DJ and their kids Parks and Maddie to go trick or treating over in Huntington to our family and the truck or treat.
Them are some mighty cute kids!!!
It was so cute to watch the kids trick or treat. Kara had it down. When Gav and Griff were her age, I remember them not being into trick or treating much, but sis would say "treat" and hold her basket out. The more candy the better. When we were at the trunk or treat, her bucket was all the way full, so I took a huge handful out and put it in another bag so she could carry it easier. Well that was the WRONG thing to do, she threw a FIT until I put the candy back. Full, heavy and all... it was HERS!!
Grandma Nielson dressed up for Halloween. I don't think in my 31 years of going to grandma's trick or treating that I have ever seen her dressed up.... it was AWESOME!!! Love you grandma!!!
Bry missed out on Halloween because he was in Moab with his brother. They were in a pumpkin launching competition, and it was worth it I guess... they won 1st place!!
Bry dressed up for the event and so when he got home that night, the boys were having fun answering the door for trick or treaters and Bry was still dressed up and came to the door to surprise them.
Decorating pumpkins with the kids. I thought we would just color and sticker them, but Griff knew what to do and started cutting off the top. Then of course Gav needed his cut off to carve and so I we ended up carving 3 and had a good time together! Kara loved the stickering and coloring on her pumpkin.
 The finished project!!
 Sis in her Halloween pigtails!!
I love this picture of Gavin!!
My neighbors/friends bought the kids these cute Halloween shirts and so I took a picture of them all together. It didn't really work out because it was so cold and sis was NOT happy but it is what it is.
Of course we had to make some YUMMY sugar cookies for Halloween. Griff was there from beginning to end helping. Look at those pants!!!!
They sure had a good time helping.
Gav would frost, then lick, then frost, then lick.
(don't worry friends.... we did not give out those cookies to you... ha ha)
Love her look of concentration.
