UP UP and AWAY

We took a trip to Dallas Texas a few weeks ago in March to spend spring break with Bryce, Cassi & Jackson. Here we are walking into the airport. The boys were THRILLED to be going on an airplane. That's all they talked about weeks before we left. Packing for 5 for a 6 day trip was a little tricky. We were glad we each got a carry on and a personal bag. The boys each had their own little suitcases and backpacks and the looked so cute carrying them around the airport.

I love this picture.... Bry got pulled aside for a pat down. He had a backpack full of electronics and cords. We think that was the reason.. or maybe he looks like a terrorists... or maybe this guy thought he was good looking...lol... I sure do!!

The boys with their tickets ready to board the airplane and super excited!

The boys were absolutely GREAT on the airplane. I got a kick out of them looking through the airplane magazines. They loved looking out the window and it was fun to see the look on their faces when the plane took off and their stomachs dropped.

I think their favorite part was getting the free beverage. Griffin said "this nice lady got me an orange juice." I actually had one of the stewardesses comment on how polite and good my kids were.... that felt nice.

Sis was so good too. She sat on my lap most of the time looking around at everything. I gave her one of my ear buds and bounced her on my lap to the music on my ipod and she liked that a lot.

On the way home we were the last ones getting on the plane. The girl that closes the plane door and takes care of the jetway (passenger boarding bridge)  started to talk to Griff and ask him where he was from and asked if he wanted to see how some things work with the airplane. She let him push some buttons that start to remove the jetway from the airplane.
While I was walking to find my seat I turned back to check on Griffin and he was in the cockpit with the pilot. I was panicked for a minute and then the same lady said he was fine and to find our seats and put everything down and then come back for him. I did and then I grabbed my camera but he was already standing back but still talking to the pilots (I think he would have stayed their the whole flight if they would have let him). He was so full of stories when he came to his seat about "they push the wheel in and out" and "there was tons of switches" and "they went to school, and I go to school so maybe I could do that to" and on and on. I was excited for him that he got that opportunity.

On the way back they asked us if we wanted to move up to the front row where there was more room and it was really nice of them. Griffin being the sweet big brother he always is asked if he could hold sis and show her what was out the window.

Goodbye Texas!!!

Sis had her own seat on the way home and kept quite entertained with a cup and a airplane safety instruction manual.

Back to good old Utah.... happy to be home but NOT happy to see the snow.

I love these pictures where you hold the camera out and take the picture of yourself. I think we took about 30... hence baby girls face... she did not enjoy it as much as me and Griff.
