Saint George 2010

We spent 4 days last week in St. George while Bryan had EMT conferences. This is one of my most favorite places. I think if we were ever to move anywhere else in Utah, this would be the place. It was such a nice little get away. The weather was beautiful. The boys are always excited to go on a trip and stay in a hotel. I was worried about all 5 of us sharing one room but it worked out good and we had a woderful time.
Eating out is one of my favorite things to do and I am so grateful to have such good kids so that we can go to nice restaurants and eat out. We ate a Chillies, Outback Steakhouse &  Olive Garden on our trip. At the Olive Garden it was a Friday night and very busy so we had a half hour wait. The kids were to nice to wait patiently and showed us their tumbling skills. When people would walk by Gavin would say "Hi you, how you doing?" I love how friendly my kids are. They always order by themselves to0 and are very polite to the waitresses.

Of course one the funnest things about going to St. George is SWIMMING. It is so nice and warm down there and swimming is the best!! This was Kara's first time in a swim suit and swimming. She went from refusing to put her feet down in the water, to putting them in the water but being very cautious to splashing and trying to get out of our arms. What a doll!! I just love her to pieces!!

This was one of Kara's favorite things to do. Lay in the hot tub and have me hold her back so she floated and kick her legs. My cute little family. I had to keep life jackets on the boys since I had my hands full with 3 kids. We went swimming twice a day and the boys never wanted to get out they were having so much fun.
I wanted to find something fun for the kids to do beside swimming ALL day (which I am sure they would have liked) My cousin Ashley told me about JUMPING JACKS which was this super fun place with inflatable toys for the kids to jump and play on. The boys had a BLAST!!
Karalyn enjoyed herself too. She liked bouncing on and crawling around on the fun colorful floor. What a fun place!!

Bry and I got in on the action. It was actually a lot of fun. Too bad the picture of me is blurry... it looks like a got a pretty good look on my face.
Saturday, Bry was still in class and we had to check out of the hotel at 11 so I took the kids to see the beautiful St. George temple. When we got there Griffin said "look at that Castle" I told him it was a temple and it was a special place. When we got closer there was a wedding party taking pictures outside and Gavin said "mom there is the princess to the castle, she is a beautiful princess like sis"
We also found a fun little park a few blocks from the temple. Sis LOVES to swing.

What a fun time! I love going to St. George, especially in the winter when it's warmer than the rest of Utah:) Your kids are so adorable Mel! I can't believe how big Kara is getting!

Hey! Looks like tons of fun! Every picture I came to I thought was my favorite- until I came to the next one! If I HAD to pick- maybe the sunglasses? Or Bryan coming down the slide with the boys- it's a toss up. We are actually headed the same place next week! Thanks for some fun ideas!
