Find JOY in the JOURNEY

The day before we left we went to the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History. It is very similar to the Childrens Museum in SLC.

We were ready to feed our little monster Gavin to the dinosaur... no not really... his cute face saved him!!! 

I don't know if it was because it was spring break, but we had to wait in line to go into each different part of the museum. This one was called the 'Dino Dig' Gavin thought it was pretty fun to dig in the dirt and try and find dinosaur bones.

Poor kid had a little girl spray dirt in his mouth. He thought by using his brush he could get it out but just got even more dirt in his mouth. He was a little upset by this SO....

He needed to spray her with some dirt. Brave little boy... she looks twice his size!!

We went to an Imax movie about SHARKS at the museum too. It kept the boys very interested and the screen was HUGE & AMAZING. We have been to an Imax theater before, but this screen was a huge dome that went not only in front of you but on both sides and above you.... really neat

If you know me you know that I LOVE to eat out. We went out every night to eat and ate some FABULOUS food. The first night we ate at a steak house call 'Logan's Roadhouse' and had some wonderful steak and yummy hot rolls.

for the first time and YES I do believe in love at first taste. I was happy to hear we had one in SLC. Thanks for taking us their Bryce and Cassi and also for recommending our meal (my mouth is watering just thinking about it)

We brought cheesecake home one night after eating there. The next night our car just happened to take us right back and we found 4 more slices of yummy cheesecake that needed a home so we gladly took them home and ate them.

Every night after the kids were in bed we played our favorite game pinochle. Good times and lots of laughing until our tummy hurts..... that could have also had something to do with our cheesecake intake. Cassi was so cute and the second night took Bry's cheesecake away and said "friends don't let friends get sick on cheesecake" 

I am SO THANKFUL for Cassi and for the friendship we have. She planned and arranged most all of our trip and agenda with tons of fun things to see and do. We stayed at her grandmas house which was big and beautiful (her grandma does not live there anymore) It was such a nice place to stay and we appreciate Cassi and Bryce for meeting us there and for such a FABULOUS vacation.

When we both walked in the kitchen this morning and we were dressed the same (just a different pattern in our shirts)  not even knowing or planning it.... great minds think alike.

We left the kids with our husbands and went to the mall and got pedicures. We were in these huge comfortable massaging chairs. It felt so good. Now my toes are pretty again and although it is not quite flip flop weather in Utah I am still wearing them. 

The night before we left I planned on seeing my cousin Callie. We tried to meet up before but Callie was working late most days. It was SO great to see her and visit. It was crazy that she lives just 5-10 miles (in Ulysses) from where we were staying (in Hurst). What a coincidence that we travel that far to see Bryce and Cassi and get a bonus visit with my awesome cousin Callie.
