Every November we go to SLC for 4 days. Bryan goes to EMT conferences and the kids and I play and shop. We had a great time. We spent the first day at our cousins Lacy & Maddie's house, went to lunch and did a little shopping with them. The next day they met us at the Children's museum at the Gateway Mall which is always great fun. At night Bryan would meet up with us for dinner. That has to be one of my favorite things about the city... all the yummy places to eat. (I am craving a molten lava chocolate cake from Chili's right now) My boys were so good each night at all 3 restaurants, with missing naps and new places I was worried but they were good and I was proud of them.
Griffin and Gavin pulling their suitcases into the hotel. They LOVED staying at the hotel this year. We had a NICE room. It was actually like a small apartment. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, family room, kitchen, and even a laundry room. (Thanks to cousin Ryan for the hook up again) We let the boys share a bedroom and bed. Of course they stayed up and played for awhile but they were somewhere new and fun so I could not be upset. During the day while were were out an about they would say "lets go back to the hotel" they really had a god time.
The boys wanted to be in charge of the hotel key card. They each kept one in their pocket to open the doors to the hotel and to our room.
A few pictures of the kids while at the Children's museum. A few hours really is not enough time to spend and this awesome place. Next year we will have to make it an all day event.
Griffin stacking rubber Legos as tall as himself.
Maddie and Gavin on the horse (not sure what the head tilt back was about) Gavin asked me "I want a quarter please so I can
I think the helicopter will always be the favorite part of the museum for my kids.
I love the look on these two news anchors faces. This was probably the least fun thing for them... but for us mom, we just had to get a picture.
