LOST RINGS

I lost my engagement and wedding rings last week. I remember last having them Thursday and it was not until Saturday that I realized they were GONE GONE!! My first reaction was "Griffin" I asked him where my rings were and he said " I don't know" after asking and asking he said they are at the park. We drive to the park and he just wants to play, not find the rings and then he said" they are not here mom, I just want to play at the park" OKAY..... so when we get back to the house I look again and again. I kept thinking about what I did with them, but I could not help thinking that Griffin took off with them, but he is usually good to help find something that he has taken. Well Monday I did a good cleaning and vacuuming of the house and NO RINGS. At that point I started crying. I did not know if I would ever find them and if I did when... 6 months.... 6 years?? I left for work Monday afternoon and when I came home Bryan said that him and the boys searched and searched for the rings while I was gone. Bry said that he knelt in a circle with the boys and said a prayer to help find them. He said that it was the first time they knelt the entire time and kept there arms folded and eyes closed. I thought that was SOOOOOO sweet of them. That night I put the boys to bed and Gavin is now in a toddler bed so he gets in and out for awhile before he decides to go to sleep. He had turned the light on in his room and I could here him playing so I opened the door and saw he was playing with Bryan's fire truck m&m candy dispenser. I took it from him and could hear something inside. I thought to myself "this little stinker found more candy to put inside" (he truly his my candy child, can not get enough) Well to my happy surprise it was not candy but my rings!!!!!! I kissed him and said "so you took them" and he just smiled and said "rings" My sweet boys prayer worked. Today when Griffin woke up, I told him I found my rings and thank you for praying to hep me find them. He said "your welcome, good job mom" later he said "we prayer for your rings huh mom" and when his dad got home from work he was excited to tell him they were found. I am thankful for the power of prayer and for my boys to see its rewards.

I lost my wedding ring a few months ago, so I can kinda understand the panic you felt over losing yours. Guess where I found mine... the bottom of the recycling bin at Walmart! I never would have thought to look there. I had dropped off a bunch of grocery sacks there and apparantly it fell off... Thank goodness for prayer or I would never have found mine either. P.S. I'm making my blog private, so you'll have to leave me your email address:)

So cute of your boys to pray for you! Yeah- When Kobe was 2 he stuck my ring down a knothole in an on-ground deck when we were at a scout swimming party. I didn't even know the lady very well and we got to tear her whole deck up looking for it. Three days later we finally found it. Phew!
